Rapid Prototyping
Rapid Prototyping
In the past, extensive labor was required to create appearance models and prototypes. The term rapid prototyping mainly refers to the automatic construction of parts and models. This is possible through the use of computer modeling and a variety of rapid prototyping equipment. We take a hybrid approach to rapid-prototyping that includes a mix of machine-made parts and hand-made components. Different processes produce various qualities and widely range in speed and cost. We can make appearance models that look like the real thing but do not function as well as fully functional prototypes. We will help you determine the right quality and functionality for your project and budget.

Appearance Models
Appearance Models
Being able to see a product in person provides significant benefit to the product development process. It is one thing to see sketches, renderings and animations, but a physical model brings a whole new dimension. Appearance models are a low cost way to see a product before taking it to manufacturing. A product might look great on paper, but you cannot truly get a feel for it until you can hold it in your hand.
Prototypes
Certain types of products require more extensive development than others. We create functional prototypes as well as production grade prototypes. Functional prototypes are working models that are used to test a products functionality, but are not necessarily built the to the final product specifications. Production grade prototypes are built as closely to the final product as possible.
